I hope this hasn't already been posted, and i hope this is the right place to post it.

Anyways, i found an cognitive functions online test on an infj forum...

Test: http://www.cognitiveprocesses.com/assessment/surveyOriginal.html

Source: http://forum.infjs.com/showthread.php?t=175

Here is what came out for me...

Cognitive Process Level of Development (Preference, Skill and Frequency of Use)
extraverted Sensing (Se)  ***************************  (27.9)
average use
introverted Sensing (Si)  ***********  (11.3)
unused
extraverted Intuiting (Ne)  ***********************************************  (48)
excellent use
introverted Intuiting (Ni)  ***********************************  (35.7)
good use
extraverted Thinking (Te)  ************************  (24.5)
average use
introverted Thinking (Ti)  ************************  (24.8)
average use
extraverted Feeling (Fe)  *************************  (25.5)
average use
introverted Feeling (Fi)  ******************************************  (42.1)
excellent use

It kind of makes sense... Ne is strongest, followed by Fi, and Si is last. What i don't understand is why my Se is so high??? I can kind of understand how Ni is high, as it is related to Ne somehow, but Se???

Also, i'd like to see your results if you take it.

What do you want us to do, oh great master of Ne? We are just mere slaves in your presence.

I kind of figured out what was 'wrong' with me. I now know why my Se is so strong. I am an NF for sure, at least at the core.
When i was in primary school, i was bullied by some guys. It wasn't that hard, it wasn't a big problem. I had some friends. Then when i went to the new school, it was a lot worse. I was not bullied in the sense of physical bullying, but more so a sense of physical and social bullying. In the first two years secondary school, i didn't get along so great with my classmates. And they always threw balls at my head (Footballs, volleyballs, basketballs, I still am a bit paranoid when a volleyball flies towards me, by the way, they did that up until 11th grade). So what did i do? I developed masks for every occassion. Masks that let me be accepted by others. Masks that let me be seen as a strong guy you don't want to bully. Masks that made me seen emotionally detached ("You always have that cold look on you, Jan"). I began to look for cues in people that helped me to evaluate if i could trust them or should better not trust them. I think i have become very good at that. I often know people's feelings towards me. I feel and see when they look at me. I feel if they laugh with me or about me.
I don't go towards other people openly and also not without looking at them closely, so i know if i can trust them. If i do go openly towards them, then that's a mask too. One i use to be seen as more likeable, as people generally like open people more.
I can create masks for every occassion, then slip them on and off. I have become so good that they almost (very very closely) feel like second persona i can slip into. I even once thought i lost my true identity.
When i first meet new people, i have a mask on most of the time. Yeah i know. It's not nice towards them. What i can do is use one of those nicer masks i have up my sleeve. I wish i could just go towards people and say:

"Hey i am Jan. I thought you looked friendly and i wanted to be friends with you. If you don't like me, that's ok. Just say it right now, and i will go away and not bother you anymore. But if you want to be my friend, we can surely have a lot of fun together and have interesting conversations. And i will be your friend too. Decide now."

But it's really hard for me being that open. Maybe i should start doing that, leave behind the masks i have used so long. What do you think?

I wanted to write a lot of stuff about those guys who used to bully me, but let's keep it short: They are disgusting. As soon as they see you are much more than they originally thought, they try to be best friends with you. Also, they have problems being friends with people who really are cool people (laid-back and friendly, and also secure in themselves), as those people either smell them from afar, or abort the friendship once they see their 'real side'.
Also, once i had found friends they defended me and we turned around the 'bullying' when they tried to bully me. Then they apruptly stopped bullying me. Pffft. Weaklings. .

I think i already used masks much in this forum. I am terrribly sorry, i just don't trust... well i don't think i trust anyone completely. When somebody is nice towards me, i mentally check if they have anything to gain from doing so, while looking at them intently to judge if they really mean it. Once i know them, i don't think about it that often anymore, but a small rest of distrust remains.

extraverted Feeling (Fe) ************************* (25.2)
average use
introverted Feeling (Fi) ******* (7.6)
unused

------------

Personally I think my Fi is much stronger than that, but my personal happiness is irrelevant to me now and my values are now more logic and judgement based. I admit my Se is bad.

Lets see, best type match according to how I answered this:
ENTP (Hmmm.... No) - even though I get along fairly well with ENTP.

Still... have to wonder if my personality is evolving. It probably is.

Te is my strongest... I probably answered the questions wrong

Does test again:

extraverted Sensing (Se)  ****************  (16.8)
limited use
introverted Sensing (Si)  *******************************  (31.1)
good use
extraverted Intuiting (Ne)  ************************************  (36.2)
excellent use
introverted Intuiting (Ni)  **********************************  (34.1)
good use
extraverted Thinking (Te)  ***************************************  (39.4)
excellent use
introverted Thinking (Ti)  *****************************************  (41.6)
excellent use
extraverted Feeling (Fe)  *******************  (19.8)
limited use
introverted Feeling (Fi)

*********************  (21.4)
limited use

Suggested Type: INTP, with Ti as strongest.

Alternative types suggested: ENTP or INTJ

Well, this is possible. I typically test somewhere between INTJ and INTP.

When I have more time, I'm going to have to work on becoming ENTJ or something

Generally, I agree that my Ni, Ne, Ti, Te, are strong.
My Si is fairly strong (despite these results).
My Fi is pretty strong - but not brought out much.
My Fe is used only to fix everyone else's social problems. Can't convince myself to waste a lot of time on other people.
My Se is bad, I admit it. I can't justify to myself, doing stuff mostly for enjoyment. My general awareness of physical things I'm not expecting, is low, and I have a tendency to watch stuff happening. Hmm... the glass is rolling off the table. Its falling to the ground. *Crash*. It broke. I only respond faster when people are in danger.

Exploring the possibilities of your results...:

Your first test result does seem very ENTJ to me. Not only is your Te highest, but your Fi is also lowest (Fi is inferior for ENTJ). Ni fairly strong strong too. You seem to be undecided on your P/J and E/I tough, which is why your Ti and Ne are also strong, and why your Se is also weak (Se is inferior for INTJ). Your Ne+Ti are fairly balanced, so i guess your scores in Ne+Ti are higher than in Te+Ni (which is why the calculator came up with ENTP). I would have guessed INTP though, instead of ENTP, because your Si is stronger than your Fe (Fe is inferior for INTP, Si is inferior for ENTP), also your Ti is a tad stronger than your Ne.

Thats also how i decided that i am ENFP instead of ExFP, my Si (inferior function for ENFP, ESFP has Ni) is the lowest. My Ni is ok, i think. I am very very P, though.

Your second one looks like INTP, i also think it looks more like ENTJ than INTJ, because the Te is stronger than the Ni... For an INTJ, the Ni would be stronger. Fi, Fe Se are all low. Both your F types are low, that can be a clue that your dominant function is a T, which is the case for both INTP (Probable), ISTP (No, your Se is far to weak for that), ENTJ (Probable), ESTJ(Possible, but improbable, since your Si is high, but not that high to match the others). INTP makes sense since your Si could be tertiary. The weak Se can point into a dominant Ni direction, but as INTJ you would use your Ni much more, and it would also be stronger...

So... a dominant Thinker, very possibly NT. fairly strong Si, too. F types no.

ENTJ? => Te Ni Se Fi (high Te values, low Fi values, coupled with high Ni values. weak tertiary)
INTJ? => Ni Te Fi Se(high Ni values, high Te values, low Se values. Fi a little on the weak side, but strong 8th)
ENTP? => No. Si is far too strong for that.
INTP? => Ti Ne Si Fe (possible, high Ti and high Ne scores, with Si as tertiary, Fe is generally weak)

SPs are out of question, your Se is too low.
ISTJ? => Si Te Fi Ne (No. Your Ne is too strong)
ESTJ? => Te Si Ne Fi (Dominant Te with auxiliary Si, Ne as tertiary, weak Fi - improbable, your Ne is higher than your Si)

The most evidence have ENTJ, INTJ and INTP. More ENTJ than INTJ because in both tests, your Te comes out stronger than your Ni.

"Cross-Dominant thinkers":
IxTJ => Pi Te Fi Pe (P for Perceiving functions)
ExTJ => Te Pi Pe Fi
IxTP => Ti Pe Pi Fe <- Not probable. Blame it on Se.
ExTP => Pe <- No. Se far to weak.
No cross-dominant Intuitives for you, F types too weak.

Temprament:
xSxP => No.
xSxJ => Improbable.
xNFx => No.
xNTx => Yes.

As I've said from time to time, your type is dependent on your choices, and how you live your life currently. I can actually feel a shift in type with changes in mood and current needs.

Plus, I've always felt that I had differing ways of looking at the world - like I'd picked up my mother's sides Intuition based though, and my father's side's Thinking based system. My mother's side of the family seems mostly NF, and my father's side, mostly NT.

I think I have stronger Fi and Si than the scores show.

I don't use Fe much, and I don't use Se much. Personally, I want all my function types strong. There's no real point in being or rather, remaining a specific type.

--

I remember people trying to pull pranks on me in high school. Most of the time, my super human ability to hear my name used would mean that I would detect them talking about me and hear their plans - which meant their plans didn't work
I'm not very aware unless it relates to me
I never had issues finding worthwhile friends though. I could tell who was going to work. I have only one serious failure in friend selection to date, although I think she would've worked out if we hadn't been in an unfortunate situation.

^^^ Clearly, I am heavily NF.

As I expected it to be, Ne and Fi in the lead, with a very strong sense of Fe close to follow, and Ni rounding up the top 4. This is why I understand ENFJ's so well..

Super Ne, pretty decent Ni.
Virtually non-existent Te and Ti.
Godlike Fe and Fi too

Were it possible, I'd get tips from you on how to deal with people better (in person I mean)

Or as you can see - I'm high T, low F... which means I get along well with most T types, and not so well with most F types. Although NFs work infinitely better than SFs.

Yes, I do believe I would think you're an A-hole and that it was hard to deal with you. You, similarly, would think I'm too emotional. Yeah, it would go something like that...
