How do you feel about conforming? I like to do so sometimes, but sometimes I like having my own style too. Were do you shop?

I mostly shop for clothes at thrift stores and garage sales, because the kinds of clothes I like are not currently in fashion, and would be much too expensive to buy new even if they were. Occasionally, I will buy something from a hippie shop, if it is on sale.

Target, old navy, random little boutiques. My clothes themselves are pretty basic but i have wacky accessories such as shrinky dink earrings with octopi on them.

I miss Mervyns, because they had some good prices sometimes. Other good ones are T.J. Maxx, Kohls, garage sales, and I haven't really gone to thrift stores much but I'm thinking about doing that.

for every day stuff, I usually like nicely fitting T-shirts & jeans, so Old Navy, usually. Their cut in quite a few of their normal tshirts is pretty flattering to my hourglass shape.

For special occasions I make my own clothes. I like 40s and 50s proportions, and most clothes today don't really look right on me since I have an hourglass figure, and the designers either design for a larger chest and smaller hip region, or vise versa. It's hard to find dresses and such that fit me right. Plus, the clothes I make have a higher seam allowance and therefore last longer as tehy don't shred in the washing machine (that always makes me so angry)

Target, Ebay, Old Navy clearance racks lol, JC Penney for church and work clothes sometimes, and consignment shops for the bulk of my clothing. Shoes usually from Rack Room or TJ Maxx :o)

Hmm... stuff I like? Guess, Lucky, places like mainland/pac sun that sell surf/skate clothes, Nautica, GAP, Buckle, Gottshalks(however you spell that), and wherever else. I'm usually too poor to shop at several of those though lol.

My favorite jeans are Lucky jeans, and I will definitely have to buy more (despite the price tag..there's a certain feeling you get from wearing a perfectly fitting pair of jeans). My favorite polos are from Nautica. For my outdoors job, I enjoy Columbia shirts. They make shirts with light material, breathable mesh, and they have UV protection built in. They also make shirts with built in bug repellent, but they are quite pricey.

My ENFP friend got me hooked on brand names. Yea, walmart may have good jeans and all but nothing fits nicer than a pair of Guess premium jeans or a Danier Leather jacket

eBay, thift stores, online shopping, estate sales, flea markets, Free People, etc....I tend to look for deals or sales when I do shop at department stores (it can be so expensive!), but I usually go to independent shops. I buy fabrics/trimmings/appliques/embroidery and sew them on my older clothing or create something completely new. Not a fan of trendy (flashy) clothing...much more into stylish/individual pieces (or a mix & match) with accessories. I'm a bargain shopper.

However, when it comes to jeans/pants (bottomwear), it takes more time finding a fit that flatters my shape.

Bullhead jeans are by far my favorite. The stores I like are Target, Justice, Journey's, Hot Topic, PacSun, Charlotte Russe, the thrift store, etc., etc. Pretty much any place that offers stuff for my scrawny figure and stumpy legs. -.- I make a lot of my own clothes as well. Coralaisly, I want to see some of your past projects, like seriously.

It's a rather soothing hobby.. maybe take a sewing class? it's really rewarding when you go to an event and someone says "oh, I really like your outfit. Where did you get it?" and you can say "o, I made it" it's a lot of fun once you get the hang of it
