I know this probably isn't a very original choice, but my favorite artist is still Vincent Van Gogh, as much for his life story as for his art, although if you actually look at his art, it is full of meanings that he might or might not have consciously intended. They appeal to my INFPness.

I love that one! I also like the field of irises with the one lonely white iris off at one edge of the patch of purple ones.

Thanks to all of you. This place is amazing. Before I knew I was an ENFP, I felt weird. I didn't understand why I felt this way, so misunderstood sometimes, but with a rush of feelings hehe. I daydream a lot about a lot of things. I always thought that was amazing (and I still think that way.
I also have to add that is difficult to make me angry.Well, with my mother that another story, because she always wants to control my life and she's always complaining about me. I don't understand why other people always want to control your own life. But that's not important right now, because this place is amazing!!!

heh... it's the SJ parents with NP kids. There are a tremendous amount of them (having spent a lot of time on mbti forums), and they very often scar their kids for years. Hang in there, though. When it comes to controlling parents, the kids seem to either grow up bitter and depressed and feel like the world owes them something, or they have patience, kindness, flexibility, and wisdom waaay beyond what anyone else learned in their childhood. If you hang in there and grow into the second type of person, it leaves a mark on everyone you meet, and testifies in spirit against all the criminals who use stuff like abusive parents as an excuse for their crimes. Having known some people who grew up in homes with controlling parents, I've seen that you have a huge opportunity to grow into something quite remarkable.

Am glad you like it here . Please, by all means, post more and get involved... the more people that become active, the more we can bounce ideas off of each other and let our intuitions out to play and talk--since the world doesn't appreciate that too much in day to day life.

Yeah, that's right. Some people in my family, including my cousin, aunt, mother and sister have told me that I'm bitter, a grinch or some things like that when I don't laugh of whatever they say. But I think I'm not a bitter because in school, far from them, I'm very happy, and then that tell me that I'm not a bitter, like they say. I'm also very happy about my feelings, my plans for the future even if I don't have them clear. I'm happy about what I've acheived and what makes me the happiest is meeting people, and getting to this forum where I'm now a member and it's becoming addictive.

haha yep yep... online forums will do that to you. All I can say is: go to college somewhere where you can live away from home. The world just suddenly bursts into colors you didn't know existed. It's beautiful.

I agree. Getting away, even if you have good parents, can be extremely liberating.

Bouguereau. hands down.

I’m refraining from writing a novel, so I’m just gonna give the short answer:

Artist: William Adolphe Bouguereau
reasons:
• The sense of motion in his work is beautiful
• I love mythology and whatnot, so the subject matter is pleasing to me
• That man could paint the female form so well it makes me jealous, and I don’t get jealous easily or often
• His sense of proportion and grace are beyond anything I could ever accomplish *bows in homage to the master of the universe and all it encompasses… ok I’m being dramatic, but he was so good it makes me want to cry myself to sleep in an artistic sense*
• He makes “modern art” look like the finger-painting of toddlers, which most of it would look like anyway, but his work makes it even more-so.
• I’m an INTJ, so technical skill is highly prized to me. And his technical skill makes me want to either devote my life to studying art or stop completely so I don’t embarrass myself (yes, I am very critical of my own work, but I’m an INTJ, what can I say?)
• He wasn’t Picasso (sorry, I just can’t stand Picasso.)
• Master of the invisible brush technique, need I say more?

Yes, that’s the short answer lol
I love artists who have the technical skill to produce paintings or sculptures or whathaveyou that actually look like things. And the more accurate, the higher they are on my list.

Some of my favorites (there's quite a bit of nudes/nudity, so be warned):
