I'm an ENFP who is a passionate musician.. Trained vocalist, self-taught guitarist and pianist.. The music I write is very different, and I've noticed this.. A lot of it tends to be very deep and reflective, as well as somewhat impressionistic.. I try to incorporate many different aspects of myself in music and I also try to be as truthful as possible... A lot of people who have heard me play or improvise tell me that I have my own distinct style.. For example, I will be at college locked up in a music studio playing something at a piano, and friends will come and visit me.. Despite improvising, they tell me that they can tell it's my music..

Here's a song I recorded back in May. It's called YOUNG CHILD LOST.. It's a true story and reflects the results of child neglect and abuse..

It is unfortunate that I know many people who have been through this, and this is the story of someone in particular. I felt the need to write it, because I wanted to a) express myself and b) raise an awareness of these societal issues.. My music reflects my deeper passions and feelings..

Music --> a window into another persons soul...

Almost this entire description sounds like me, except for the "awareness of societal issues" part. My music is quite different from yours, but you having an amazing voice, very Josh Groban-ish. I recently became obsessed with the MBTI thing and have been trying to figure out what type everyone I know is, so far none of my close friends are fellow ENFPs, which is why I often feel isolated and different. I am currently going to school for music, and finally taking lessons on piano and guitar (I've been self-taught for many years). If you're curious to hear some of my music, here's a link:

I play the piano and a bit of the guitar and ukulele. I sing, too. My voice isn't very strong, certainly not the best voice out there, but I do know how to use it. I generally compose music without words. I like it because that sort of music is so universal. Everybody can understand its language and feel. But I do write some songs with lyrics. Recently, I wrote a song about the Holocaust called "Number the Stars" which is based off of Anne Frank's experience (I've read her diary many, many times).

I like all sorts of music, all different genres, so long as I think the song is actually written well (and I don't just mean lyrics). I like classical (my favourites being Ravel and Debussy), alternate (the Avett Brothers being one awesome alternate band), and well, pretty much everything. Sara Bareilles and Adele are great - they've got a ton of talent and are brilliant songwriters. Oh yes, and I adore folk. Paul Simon (his new song REWRITE is simply epic) is great, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell...

Oh yes. I absolutely adore the Once soundtrack.

Like I said. I love anything and everything.

I sing choral, and acapella music, and am learning to sing opera. I also play saxophone and am learning to play piano. I should have recordings of the acapella group I've been singing with soon...

I love to sing modern rock, play a little bass, drums, keyboard, and starting to learn LMMS which is awwwwwsome. Also do some audio engineering and post-processing.

@Justin, trying singing some modern rock, go up an octave, add some tube and compression processing, push your voice a bit and be prepared to be shocked.
