A&M is a damn good school. *thumbs up. I can't wait for college, and yet I'm gonna hate leaving my friends behind. It's genesis and revelation, in a way. The end of the old world, the beginning of a new one. I'm kinda scared, and yet I'm really looking forward to it. |

Its a phenomenal school. I love it. Good friends will stay by your side, college brings a fresh perspective on friendships, as I'm sure post-college does. Where were you thinking of going? |

I'm applying to Boston University, Centre College, Drew University, Georgetown University, Indiana University @ Bloomington, Lehigh University, SMU (Southern Methodist University), UT Austin, Trinity University (San Antonio), Vassar College, Washington and Lee University, and the College of William and Mary. If I could pick out of all of them, I'd probably pick Washington & Lee. |

I'd be applying to schools like Stanford and Harvard if my grades were good enough, but I've been such a bad student (never studying until the last minute and always researching stuff outside of school) that it kinda screwed me over in that regard. Boring Js and their stupid school system... |

I've done most of the common App stuff that's required for them. I'm planning to major in military history and computer science. I might minor in political science, but I'm not sure about that. |

Meh, you're not applying to any of the ones I'm applying to. Although one of my friends is at WashU--she loves it there, has her own radio show [it's at 1 in the morning, perfect for an insomniac like me xD] and one of my best friends is looking at it, too. They offered me a priority application...if I had the money to send another transcript and if it weren't too late to apply for a Johnson Scholarship, I'd probably apply there. xD Alas, I can only apply to three colleges of my liking and be too exhausted writing supplements for the ones my father wants me to go to in order to apply to the ones I was considering. College of W&M was really appealing...hmm. Got rejected from Stanford early, so I'm having doubts about my application. xD |

what colleges are you applying to? And Stanford rejects almost everybody lol. One of my best friends (also an ENFP, I'm pretty sure) applied there with a 2310 SAT and pretty good grades and got rejected. I'm sure your application's damn good and you'll get in everywhere else. |

I'm more inclined to think "Why would someone like me want a place like Stanford?" I think the point about how much people like certain schools is very important. I wouldn't stress the actual education as much (although you shouldn't go to a bad place). You need to come out with skills and a good network. You need a place where you 'want' to excel... ideally. |

@Malkavia-"Military history and computer science? Interesting. Reasons? Im very curious."
Military History- I've been fascinated by strategy and tactics ever since I was a little kid. I was a chess champion. I read the encyclopedia to learn about every major American War and the famous generals and the battles. I'm planning to research the effect of new weapons being introduced into the battlefield causing the evolution of militaries within the ten year period after they were introduced (a bit larger for older times and slower increase in technology) causing the old generals to either adapt or fail epically (like with WWI on the part of everyone). I'm then planning to advise the American Military with new techniques for what they should do to ensure that they are always utilizing their new technology to its greatest potential. Besides, I have always loved history. Battles and good action scenes in movies always give me chills (the good kind). I could go on and on lol. (I'm also a very good strategist so I'd enjoy using it in a useful situation>not starcraft or call of duty lol)
Computer Science- Programming has interested me simply because of the potential of hacking. I love the idea of one lone man being able to discover all of the secret information in the world through intelligent use of mathematics. I also am fascinated by the idea of creating a beautiful virtual reality world where it seems like you are casting magic spells and battling enemies in person. (and the magic spells wouldn't be super limited/lame like in harry potter. The mind would be the limit of your magic.). Huge mountains, beautiful rivers, diamonds covering a cities dome... and so on. It'd be a world where you'd be hanging out with your friends in a much more bad ass place than real life. I mean... wouldn't you guys love to be casting magic spells at orcs and chopping the heads off of goblins with your friends like you were there.... I know I would lol. I would love to create a whole new world, and I'd need computer science to do it. (It'd LOOK real, most importantly)
