I am contempleting going to school for Natural Foods Chef, which is also know as a therapeutic chef or Holistic chef. I am interested in not necessarily working in a restaurant, but more of a personal chef type service or demo chef. I have not seen culinary arts listed as one of the ENFP best choices, but I have seen caterer and entreprneur as well as things in the creative area. So, do you think this would apply?

First all education is good. Second you never know how one skill will benefit an other. An example is me going to school for finance and using finance in media.

Chef would be great for an ENFP because everything is always different and you can be creative at all times. Leadership is evolved to as you run a kitchen. You can also leverage that skill into your own business later. Branding Branding Branding!

I think it'd be fun. It's what we make out of it. I've thought about being a personal chef, emphasizing on healthy diets.

Probably my biggest weakness is my prep-skills. I'm so slow at chopping up foods in the kitchen. I take my time, make a mess, cut myself, spill, bump into things, but at the end of it all? My food tastes good, and I love creating new ideas, deconstructing dishes, while adding vitamins/nutrients and making the most of it if/when I can.

Ideally, if I went this route, I'd get to balance it out with doing other occupations I consider fun. Variety!

I'm a cook in a nursing home, and my friend, who's a cook/tattoo artist INTJ, is always popping over from the next door home telling me off for not peeling the veg * rolls eyes*. I explain fluffily how carrot skins are better for you than no carrot skins..., but she knows best because she's an INTJ...haha, >>>N__E__V__E__R!!. Holistic cooking is a good choice, I know the prep bit is boring, but you could also employ someone to do that for you. Good luck.
