Right now I am working as an admin assistant. I HATE it. I basically do data entry and answer phones. These past few months my department has been writing a proposal for a new operating system. Seeing some potential, they got me involved in the project. I felt like I came alive after months of being bored to death. It wasn't so much the technology, it was more the group brainstorming, someone actually putting value and merit in my ideas, getting to think of "big picture" things. After this, I realized that work doesn't have to be miserable, so I applied for re-enrollment in university. I'd went for 3 semesters for accounting- did great in all my elective classes, flunked every business class I took but my dad kept telling me that was the only way to get a respectable job. Now I'm trying to decide exactly what path I should take. I think I would enjoy Organizational Psychology- getting to go into companies, teach them how to hire the right person for the job, show then how to use their (human) resorces more efficiently, increase worker moral and motivation and lower turnover rates. Do you guys think something like this would be a good fit for an ENFP? Any other suggestions? (I've also considered teaching either high school or being a university professor, or being a school counsellor or school psychology. I also love to write.)

The age-old quandary of the ENFP. I'm in the midst of trying to figure that out myself. Good luck to you. ^_^

ugg accounting is for Js. try finance. Finance is math and theory... great for enfp.

In reality your major doesn't matter... your work experience does. your major just gets you the internships... internships get you the job. An other great idea is marketing... have you taken a marketing class?

Psych would be great for an ENFP. Choose a topic that intrigues you as a major. Choose a profession where you can interact with a lot of other people on a daily basis and try to stay away from a job mainly consisting of routine work. You'll be bored stiff!! You need to launch projects and brainstorm about things. You can let other people follow through and work out the details.

Network as much as you can, so you have a lot of contacts, and as Saul said, you need internships. An internship will give you a foot in the door and might land you a job. (If you decide it's the place for you.)
