Hey peoples, I was wondering what is your dream job and why. For me it would be an actor or musician. I love the arts and this way I'll have something to carry on into the future after I'm gone. Ever since I was little I wanted to make something that would carry onward my legacy.
What about you? |

Open-ended problem solving. Bring me into new businesses every time and have me analyze what all can be improved, and fix it. Well, I suppose that would fall under Business Process Re-engineering... which is a Computer Science term. But yes, have me walk in, and criticize the hell out of a company, with suggestions for all changes that should be made to increase profitability, or reduce risk. Sadly, even if such jobs do exist, I don't have the credentials to get them. |

I'd love to be paid to photograph & dive. Testing hotels and resorts. So I should really ask Condé Nast traveller if they want me, but I'm guessing the competition is pretty hard for their jobs
Zsych: I think efficiency consultants exist, it's a job that'd be well suited to you I think. |

I'm sure it would be too. I remember... I was flying in Singapore Airlines, and I wrote them 3 pages of suggestions Problem with most jobs sadly is that they won't let you in without pre-existing experience to show. Plus, letting me fix things, implies acknowledging that their existing management should've done a better job |

But if they hire you, they would be open to suggestions, you just need to know how to communicate that they have done a shitty job to them without actually saying those words. You can always do an internship with someone to get the foot in the door. Study psych or hook up with some organizational psychologists and you'll be on your way to criticizing companies for a living in no time!!
Wow, we have the same hobby Zsych! Letting air line companies know what we think of them. I've done that with KLM, Air France, Continental & Lufthansa. I'm not convinced they appreciated it. Lol! And I only bother with the big companies. Don't even get me started on what the small ones need to work on... (Continental actually gave me a 300$ flight coupon for later use.) |

Part of it I suppose is that I don't really want to do something like go back to college (not to mention not wanting to pay for it ) ... and my living expenses are somewhat high, so too low paying a job would make things very inconvenient. Still.. lets see what I can do when I have more time. Big companies... I've been occasionally offended by big companies and what they do. Or just companies in general. I've noticed that people can't really make me angry. Companies, can make me angry. I need more power so I can FORCE fixes on them |

I'm more interested in changing the law to make companies act more decent... at some point
Its not even individual companies that matter, but rather, the ways things are done, and how not opposing crimes allows them to become ordinary and allows other people to choose the same path.
The more power someone wields, the more trouble they can cause, and the more people they can influence. Thus, people with more power, must be held to higher standards than people without. Companies are kinda like powerful people. |

My dream job is to do absolutely nothing. And I'm living the dream right now! Though all good things come to an end.

Might be cooler to say that you want to build something that will upon its completion, give you an endless source of further wealth and power without further work from you. I'm out of the job myself, and I'm working a lot, on something that will hopefully make me money so I don't have to go back to working for other people. |

I don't care about wealth and power. Perhaps I'm destined for that anyway, a weird combination of knowing what I'm doing mixed with a willingness to make mistakes.
Maybe we've discovered a new INTJ-ENTJ difference! A few of you INTJs are perfectionists who openly admit to liking "force fixes," as if there is one unique vision to be realized-- namely, yours. Myself, well, I'm an imperfectionist who likes variety -- if I ran a company, I'd be like, "if you can get it done, go ahead and do your own thing!" People who challenge me would be far more valuable than obedient yes-men, since I'd have more information and options to use when setting the general direction.
This might be why ENTJs fall into leadership positions without intending to. I like to empower others, because my ultimate goal is to make my own life easier. It is systematized laziness! Perhaps INTJs are more bureaucratic and fussy, like the ISTJs, wanting things meticulously done "the right way" or "the best way." |

Oh I motivate people - at least those under me. The INTJ just doesn't bother to enter a position of power when its avoidable. Its the I. Dealing with people is a pain. |

I used to want to get kidnapped by faeries and taken off to some magical land, where anything practical or any need to work were silly ideas that mortals made up. >.>;; I figured the next best thing would be to *have* magical powers. I think the most awesome job would be to have mind-reading and the ability to conjure items....then people would come to me to see if I could find them special, unique stuff....I'd take their vague explanation, mind-read them for an accurate picture, then go conjure it up...wait a few days to make it seem like I really looked hard for it, then sell it to the person. I'm so weird. I've actually thought this through. >.> On the less ridiculous side, I could easily take all that creativity and become a novelist. It would be awesome if I could survive on just writing and never have to do anything else to live nicely....and travel. I so want to travel. |

I think the most awesome job would be to have mind-reading and the ability to conjure items My ENTP sister wants similar powers. She's remarked a few times she wants mind-reading abilities. Though she probably would rather have the ability to teleport people than to conjure items. Coincidentally, she was watching Heroes last time I met her, so of course, the subject of "if you could pick one superpower to have, what would you pick?" came up...

Writing is a hard career to get into. I think an ENFP's fun attitude would speak well to children. Maybe I'll give Alysaria my story ideas to write - Give them a more human touch |

I'd love to invent using Biology and Engineering something novel for diabetes. On the other hand, having a space ship where you can go to different planets and galaxies would be amazing, starting with having ability to fly some balloons. |

I don't know why, but I have an irrational fear of being on a spaceship. O.O It's strange to be afraid of something that I've never and very likely will never do, but just thinking about the vastness of space....and the emptiness you could just drift off in and no one could ever rescue you. >< It makes me almost physically ill with paranoia. I suppose it's the same sort of primal fear people have the first time they see the ocean....huge, powerful, and something you could never control that can crush you easily. Control is a big thing for me. |

Get paid to come up with ideas or improve existing ones and then get to call them my own. |
