Hi I'm Victoria, I'm from England and would like to discuss temperament types with other British citizens.

I know most MBTI forums are more centred in the US, but I think there are marked differences in the US and UK social conscience.

I also have an interest in UK celebrities, notably the late great football manager Brian Clough (ENFP) his partner Peter Taylor (????) and his arch rival Don Revie (ESTP?)

If you have any ideas please chat to me!!

 Hi, Victoria!  I'm Danny . . .

British Citizen?  No

ENFP? No

Interest in celebrities ANYWHERE? No

Ideas?  LOADS!!

RE: Beware of the British ENFP, BEWARE OF THE INTJs!  (Psst, I'm new and there are LOADS of newbies in my thread.  Pop on over and say hi.  You might find a Brit (or not) OR you  might find a celebrity stalker (or not) OR you might find rolled cheetos, smoked baluts, champagne, microbrew, and lake trout s'mores all being munched by fabulous people.  (Oh, there are a few ENFPs there, too.)

Yeah, as an ENFP I've usually got Champagne in the fridge and no toilet paper.
Typical.

Hi, Seamonkey. I'm not British, so I can't really contribute to your stated goal, but I am glad to have you with us.

Hi there. Sorry, I'm not British either. But I am curious about the differences you've noted if you don't mind sharing.

I think our main cultural difference is that you Yanks are brought up in the touchy feely self help mind set while us Brits are still a bit cup of tea and stiff upper lip. We use temperament analysis primarily for careers advice, not for personal growth as you do.

That's probably an accurate statement. What are you leaning towards careerwise?

How unfortunate for us both.

Careerwise, don't expect donkey work. I'm an ideas person. I consider myself freelance as I am a teacher, coach, artist, musician, wannabe politician, social commentator, special needs assistant, songwriter, independent record label manager, choral director, know all and general pain in the arse.

Welcome to the forum! I, too, am a Yank, but I hope that won't discourage you much. xD

Any culural misunderstanding stories? Most recent dream you remember having? What color are your blankets at home?

I have two different duvet covers. One is an old one with Teletubbies on it, and I have an Avatar one cause I thought it was funny.

Have any of you heard of Boris Johnson, current Mayor of London, or Jeremy Clarkson, presenter of Top Gear and social commentator in the Sun newspaper?

If it's any consolation, I have a British friend, who probably would be willing and knowledgeable about the topic. But welcome to the forum anyway.

That would be great. What type is s/he?

This is a good initiation into Clough's wit and eccentricity.

I've had my own personal revelation that Clough was ENFP, Taylor was his dual ie ISTP, and Revie was a ESTJ Guardian, Clough's opposite. None of you watched The Damned United on HBO yet then? Oh well. Vx

Who hasn't? Boris is my hero... http://lsdimension.files.wordpress.com/2010/11/borisonjohnson460.jpg but afraid I am neither yank or brit, canuck so a bit of both, I tend to partake of British products/ideas and culture more than that of US if that helps.
