i have never heard of this "mental masturbation", but i think i like it. So you are trying to say that an ENTP at best would drive an INTJ nuts?

Lol.

My INTJ had an ENTP best friend for a long time.

It only worked because he laid down the law right off the bat. He told her how their relationship was going to work and stressed communication.  ENTP's like to think for the sake of thinking, INTJ's like to think for the sake of doing. That "mental masturbation" as he called it was the same thing INTP's are famous for. It is all fun and dandy, but at the end of the day it's a shameful waste of time. He also had an INTP friend in Highschool, he'd spend a day with them and lement how nothing was accomplished and too much was deliberated.

An ENTP would be just like that, only more in your face about it. And talking a mile a minute.

My mother is an ENTP! I figured that out about 30 minutes ago after doing a typological analysis on the ENTP character profile.. Hahaa.. Yeah.. Mum can be a little in your face about things. But she is still a very beautiful woman, and I loved her dearly for all her self-sacrificing characteristics. Sometimes we don't see things eye to eye, and I think she is a lot more "TO THE POINT" then I am.. Yeah, she can be very blunt at times.. But sometimes I feel as though I need someone to be blunt with me.. Helps me to get back to reality..

Lol, INFPs. Te is their inferior function. You're not getting any of that out of them, hahaha.

Well, not until they hit their mid-late 40s early 50s anyway.. .. INFPs are awesome! They are like us in a few ways, and also have their own unique way of doing things..

I've mentioned this before but my mother is an ISFP and my father an INTP. They.drive.me.crazy. I'm like do something already! Stop thinking (INTP) and feeling (ISFP) about it and do something! It's like every time I go to visit, I'm like, "Okay - let's get something done here. There are plenty of projects to do so let's do them!" Arg!

I really don't know what personality type my parents are, because they both have *personality disorders.* Seriously. One is Narcissistic and the other one is Borderline. I haven't had any contact w/ BPD mom in almost 10 years, and NPD dad in almost 2.

However, my in-laws are ESFJ mom and ISFJ dad. My treasure of a husband is INTJ. You can imagine how that went over. Independent thought is not only wrong, it's a betrayal, and hurts them on a personal level. However, I really think ESFJ mom-in-law is *trying*. For the last two years, she's gotten me birthday cards that said something like, "Happy b-day to a beautiful woman who lives life her own way." I started sewing, and she got my little girl a kid-sized sewing machine so we could do projects together. At the very least, she's trying. I appreciate that, and after reading more about ESFJ's, I see what an effort it is.
