This is really strange. I was re-thinking if i was truly a ENFP when i read the post that xNFx want a soulmate while xSxP want a playmate... i actually want both, maybe the playmate even more... (That must seem an awful lot of shallow to you)

So i did some research and came up with that....

http://www.bestfittype.com/esfp_enfp.html

then that...

http://www.bestfittype.com/esfp.html

and this is SO like me... i strive to be individual... i strive to be the best person i can be... i need variety... Thinking of the future i often see a black nothinghness... or worse. So i just do what i can do now (reminding me that the future is always wide open), then hope for the best... and try to get to know myself better in the process... i want to know thinghs... try to look at the hidden meanings. What is behind this mountain? I want to know, i want to see...

So what do you sure ENFPs think??? (And also everyone else???) What do you think i am? Do i seem more ENFP or ESFP??? It's important for me to know who i am, if that makes a difference...

I had an ESFP long-distance boyfriend. He lived so much in the moment, that the very concept of the future was pointless to him....and when he was forced to think about it, it stressed him out and he made split-second decisions that seemed crazy and misguided, but he'd stick to them as if they'd taken a lot of planning and thought. With ENFPs it's more that there are so many possibilities that it's hard to choose just one, because that means losing out on other options. ESFPs are also careless about their own safety when it comes to having fun. >.> My ex-bf gave himself a hernia racing those big carts they use to carry around large loads of merchandise at Wal-Mart. THEN, even though he was in tons of pain, I had to nag him into seeing the doctor because he didn't like the feel of the goopy stuff they put on you for a sonigram....and because the old nurse would be touching him. -shakes head-

Ok... there's a lot of stuff i cannot relate to... the future is definitely not pointless. Maybe it's just that i think that there are SO many possibilities in the future, that i cannot decide which one i want to believe? If i have to, i will usually settle for a bright - but sometimes i only see the negative ones, and that makes me depressed. Not a very nice experience, as i am a highly imaginative person. Which brings me to the next point - i usually live more in the 'imaginative' world than in the 'real' one. I am kind of a dreamer... I once took a test of how much my letters are expressed and it was like PFNE or PNFE...
I can seem careless when i want something, but i usually know the risks and only take them if i think the benefit is higher than the risk...
I can also act on the spur of the moment, but only if it has to do with creative thinghs like making music, art, imagination. If you want to fascinate me, then talk imagination with me.... i am really passionate about my imagination - more than i am with the rest of my life. Strange, is it?

So... i am definitely not ESFP, i am ENFP. Also feels more right in the gut to know i am an enfp.

@TheJan,

Bro, no one can see the future.

You are 99% not an ESFP. I have ESFP friends and dated an ESFP girl on and off for years. You showed more introspection in two posts then either of them have in the years that I have known them. The simple fact that you are at the enfp forum asking questions means you are not an ESFP with 99% probability.

Also we ENFPs like to turn off our Ns some times and act with fun. get a few drinks in us and the N goes away. I know INTJs that love to watch TV and movies. Actually the biggest movie watchers I know are NTs.

Plus....ESFPs don't hang around mbti sites very much. They don't like being boxed in with labels. They might pop in on a whim, but they'll disappear after a post or 2, never to be seen again.
