@Alysaria: Tearing off people's flawed logic is almost never appreciated, no matter how well intentioned you are

Unless the person you're dealing with is an NT, its typically taken as an attack on them, and almost no amount of trying to put it nicely seems to help.

oooh, Religion, politics and the intersection of the two is one of my faaaaavourite topics!!!!
It frustrates me so much when i'm at a dull dinner party, someone finally tries to start an exciting and stimulating conversation on politics for example, but others jump in and squash the debate before it even starts because "it's not polite to talk about these things" or "this is not the time/place". WANT. TO. DESTROY. YOU. Oh hooray, lets go back to talking about cats and the weather, shall we? *EVIL STARE*.

You're also an INTJ when a friend you've been wanting to catch up with for ages contacts you to hang out, NOW, and even though you have no plans NOW apart from be at home by yourself doing nothing of significance, you decline, because, well, that wasn't the plan for today dammit. And it's not so much my inflexibility that puts me off, it's just that my brain is in a certain "mode" and i couldn't switch it to a socialising "mode". Kind of like not being in the mood, but it's got nothing to do with emotion. I feel fine, it's just being stuck in the wrong frame of mind to effectively deal with people. Like if I forced myself to go, lucky if i'm 50% present.

You know you are an INTJ when you never attend dull dinner parties because people will talk about cats and the weather

I'll go if a friend calls and I have nothing better to do. And I've tried going to parties where I rather suspected I wouldn't be interested much in anyone there... not always quite so bad if its a large party with lots of people. I'll typically notice some faces that radiate intelligence... Otherwise, I'm likely to end up not really hanging with anyone, which can be awkward

I was just thinking of explaining why we're having a misunderstanding to someone and I thought of saying

"You see, there is a difference in how ideas, thoughts, and feelings, are expressed by different people"

The ordering there being Ideas first, Thoughts second, and Feelings third

You're really surprised when someone reacts to information about you like they're hearing it for the first time since that information is all over your Facebook, updated regularly and has been for ages. Then you realise they ARE hearing it for the first time, since most people aren't as into 'social reconnaissance' as the INTJ and they haven't stalked your every word.
Then you're bummed, as this means they've missed all your little hooks, traps and sparkly things to lure them in. *le sigh*

...you're startled and somewhat impressed when someone catches onto the specific, subtle phrasing you use. >.> Naturally, every word is chosen with care for a specific purpose.

And sometimes you embed additional meaning you know people aren't going to catch, for your own personal amusement, and the amusement of your friends

When your relationship status, or lack of, leads you to defend your sexuality. Again. Just got ambushed by my Mum and sister, with their 'subtle' "it's ok to come out" conversation Have been called asexual before too by others.

Nothing wrong with either, just didn't realise how little people know about me. I remember chatting fairly recently to a close friend of 5 years about a boy and she said OMG I've NEVER heard you talk about these things before!!! True. I don't talk. Just never noticed how odd that is.

When you are so caught up in your on mind that you don't realize that one of your favourite artists is sitting next to you in a bar, asking if she can have the available chair at your table. You answer without recognizing her, until you S friend tells you who you just spoke with.

o man, my first two semesters of college everyone though i was gay, so embarrassing.

Your know your INTJ when you need to know the inner workings of something before you will admit you understand how it works. But you will not call yourself an expert because you know you don't know everything even though you can answer the questions no one else can.

I always assume everyone knows more than i do and is more capable of applying the information in a useful manner. I'm always deeply disappointed when they can't.

I have dictionary.com bookmarked.
I write everything down, but don't let anyone see it.
Whenever I'm doing something and someone starts walking around me, I close everything until everyone's gone, even if I'm not doing anything bad.
I enjoy sitting and watching people, but not hearing them.
I simply don't understand how some people can be so stupid.
I don't understand romance, especially between teenagers.
I see the end result of a possibility, and therefore, avoid personally risky situations.
I don't like when people are trying to change my tactics... I've obviously thought it through.
I only have wrinkles on my forehead.
One of my eyebrows is always arched.
I use my cellphone more for notes than every other function combined.
I plan out how to spend my paycheck 13 days in advance.

Pretty much everything else you said, too.
You walk into walls when you dream.

Today I was playing Monopoly and I realized that I was the only one who was trying strategically.
