When I here this song I think of my beloved INTJs...

---------------

"You must have chaos within you to give birth to a dancing star..."

"....And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you." - Nietzsche

Lol, I actually have that Coldplay song and listen to it frequently

The ENFP part is: 'Questions of science, science and progress - Do not speak as loud as my heart'

Well done, definitely resonates with me. I particularly like "Extraordinary Machine" by Fiona Apple. LYRIC BOMB!:

I certainly haven't been shopping for any new shoes, and, I certainly haven't been spreading myself around
I still only travel by foot and by foot, it's a slow climb,
But I'm good at being uncomfortable, so
I can't stop changing all the time

I notice that my opponent is always on the go, and
Won't go slow, so's not to focus, and I notice
He'll hitch a ride with any guide, as long as
They go fast from whence he came
But he's no good at being uncomfortable, so
He can't stop staying exactly the same

If there was a better way to go then it would find me
I can't help it, the road just rolls out behind me
Be kind to me, or treat me mean
I'll make the most of it, I'm an extraordinary machine

I seem to you to seek a new disaster every day
You deem me due to clean my view and be at peace and lay
I mean to prove I mean to move in my own way, and say,
I've been getting along for long before you came into the play

I am the baby of the family, it happens, so
Everybody cares and wears the sheeps' clothes while they chaperone
Curious, you looking down your nose at me, while you appease
Courteous, to try and help - but let me set your mind at ease

Do I so worry you, you need to hurry to my side? It's very kind
But it's to no avail; I don't want the bail
I promise you, everything will be just fine

INTJ approach to Love: "Overpowered" by Roisin Murphy. With swirly, electronic robotic music, lol

When I think that I'm over you, I'm overpowered

Your data, my data. The chromosomes match
Exact doesn't matter. A matter of fact

These amorount feelings, A cognitive state. Need the love object to reciprocate

When I think that I'm over you, I'm overpowered
It's long overdue, I'm overpowered

A chemical reason, it reason's your game
A chemical needing is there in the brain

With preprogrammed meanings, like a little more pep
Alien feelings we have to accept

As science struggles on to try to explain
Oxytoxins flowing ever into my brain

Interplay between a smitten ENFP and INTJ: "Hearts A Mess" - Gotye

Pick apart / The pieces of your heart / And let me peer inside
Let me in / Where only your thoughts have been
Let me occupy your mind / As you do mine

You have lost (Too much love)
To fear, doubt and distrust (It’s not enough)
You just threw away the key (To your heart)

You don’t get burned (’Cause nothing gets through)
It makes it easier (Easier on you)
But that much more difficult for me / To make you see…

Love ain’t fair
So there you are
My love

Your heart’s a mess / You won’t admit to it
It makes no sense / But I’m desperate to connect
And you, you can’t live like this

Love ain’t safe
You won’t get hurt if you stay chaste
So you can wait
But I don’t wanna waste my love

The desperation to connect is for weaker minds!
Well, I'm not sure they seem INTJ to me, but they do seem NT to me.
I'm going to contribute songs from Ghost in the Shell (the quality is better if you click play)

It's not pity. It's wanting to squeeze all the sad out of the world in a big hug and make everyone happy. ^_^

You're saying you know we're in pain and you think you can fix it and take our pain away

Oh well... I suppose that sentiment can be appreciated. Other people caring about you should be appreciated... We never admit it when we're in pain btw, we usually don't even admit it to ourselves

I've heard that song of yours a whole bunch of times, despite the fact that it makes me feel almost nothing

I like the ones I posted more though. What did you think of them?

Your songs are all credits for anime.

Sounds like the same singer for the first and third songs....but for some reason I don't like his voice in the first song. The third one is nice.

There's an odd quality to Japanese singers who sing in english. I'd imagine it's the same for engish speakers who sing other languages without knowing them....this weird way of pronouncing certain sounds that are slightly off. Or rather chewing on syllables. The second song has that kind of sound.

The harmony for the last one is unique and fun. ^_^ I'd have to say it's my favorite of the 4. Minor keys tend to be more interesting to listen to....

They're not just credits for any anime, they're credits for Ghost in the Shell

You should watch the anime series. I suggest season 2 first.

I find the first one peaceful, plus the words and the images it calls to mind are...

The second one... seems to be about Kusanagi (the lead character of the show) - I'd be really into that woman if she were real

The last one is fiery - definitely like that. Used to just have that running on repeat while working, for a while.

Are you for real about Behind Blue Eyes?! Lol, I don't think that's a very INTJ song. It's got too much "F business" going on.

All the INTJs I know like Tool the most. They're music is REALLY Ni. And then there's always Coldplay and Mutemath. I've heard some INTJs like Radiohead but that seems to be a more INTP thing.

Oh and Metal. A lot of metal bands seem to have an Ni vibe.

A bit offtopic, but i am gonna post it anyway:
I just thought of one particular conversation (and kind of a poll, we were discussing who likes hiphop) i once had on a music-seminar with others who were also there. It turned out that people who were more musical (in the sense that they played instruments, we also had people who were just singing) listened to either rock, punk, metal, or alternative, while people who were not that musical were more inclined to listen to hip-hop... No one who played an instrument listened to hip hop regularly or liked it more than the others mentioned - and we were a group of at least 20 in the room...
