Showing me memories without the context

Why is it bad to hate
Why is it bad to seek revenge
Why is it bad to seek to lose oneself at all
Why is it bad to use the dark as shelter from a fall
Why is it bad to avoid ones pain through rage
Why is it bad to to flee

Because all of this shows you are not free

Hatred as the spear of destiny
One not crafted by yourself
Pierced through ones hart it's shaft pulsates
With the beats of a fighting heart dying
The outcome is resignation
And a fighting man lying
Down

Left behind then only demons
In the ruins that now sprawl with ghosts
Demons baring teeth
Mortal flesh and bones serving only as a host
The light succumbed to grief

This is why it's bad to hate
And why hatred is the path to a shadow fate
And yet I do it anyways
Not knowing how to not
Trapped within a Gordian knot
Of people gone and memories forgot
Returning

I didn't feel creative enough for a real poem....so here's a limerick: 

There once was a pile of dung
That managed to fool everyone
With a castle disguise
Until in came the flies
And then "poof", the poop castle was done
